Warranty Policy

Walton Trailers are built to last. Every new Walton trailer is backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty on the frame — because we stand behind our work. Coverage on older trailers depends on the VIN prefix and when the trailer was manufactured.

Structural Frame

On covered trailers, a lifetime warranty on all main frame welds, cross members, and structural components against defects in materials and workmanship.

Components & Hardware

Third-party components — axles, hydraulic systems, lights, and couplers — carry their respective manufacturer warranties, typically 1–2 years.

Dealer-Submitted Claims

All warranty claims must be submitted through an authorized Walton dealer. Your dealer coordinates the inspection and repair process on your behalf.

Check Your VIN Prefix

Coverage depends on your trailer’s VIN prefix — the first three characters of the 17-character VIN printed on your VIN sticker — and, for trailers Walton Transportation built, on when it was manufactured.

7X1, manufactured in December 2024 or later — Lifetime Structural Warranty, whenever the trailer was purchased.

7X1, manufactured between September 2023 and November 2024 — a 3-year limited structural warranty. The term starts on the earlier of your purchase date or six months after Walton sold the trailer to the dealer, so a trailer that sat on a lot for two years is already 18 months into its term on the day it is bought. Ask the dealer when Walton sold it to them.

1W9 or 7SR — manufactured under a different entity, so they carry no Walton Transportation warranty, regardless of purchase date, unless a written agreement signed by Walton Transportation, LLC and the end customer expressly provides otherwise.

Component warranties on those trailers may still be in force. Tires, axles, brakes, springs and suspension, couplers, jacks, and batteries are warranted by their own manufacturers — submit those claims directly to the component vendor, following the process that vendor has established.

Read the full warranty policy, or email warranty@waltontrailers.com with your VIN if you are unsure.
